Safety Procedures

Most of us are ignorant of the fire prevention and safety procedures that one needs to follow at home with the result that the incidences of fire accidents at homes are increasing. Even if fire alarm systems are installed at home, lack of knowledge and training has made them totally ineffective and non-operational. Fire service department has huge task ahead of them to spread the awareness of fire safety and train us in preventive mechanisms to avoid fire accidents. If you thought that being a fire fighter is easy job, you could be wrong. They are called to do a lot of things beyond fighting fires and they stand to face life-threatening risks as well.

Fire departments get calls for help in all most all events like accidents, natural disasters, emergencies and life threatening situations including sometimes rescue of cats which have climbed up on the tree. They are always ready to go and keep their equipments and vehicles in ready state.

Fire services and department is not only about fire fighting. Many other roles like fire control operators, civil resilience management, safety training and education; procurement, administration, vehicle maintenance and HR make up for a complete fire service department.

Working for fire service department can be challenging and at the same time fulfilling also. It is fraught with dangers and risks and one needs to be alert and attentive all the time.
